I am an arborist from Košice. I specialise in hazardous tree removal, professional tree pruning and work at height in Košice, Gelnica, Prešov and surrounding areas.

Most of my work is in this region. For larger or technically demanding trees, however, I also travel to Poprad, Spišská Nová Ves, Rožňava, Michalovce and Kežmarok.

Whether it is professional pruning or the removal of a hazardous tree, I carry out every job personally, safely and with respect for the surroundings.

About Me

Since 2020, I have safely removed hundreds of trees without accidents or unnecessary risks. I plan every job in detail – I know exactly what needs to be done to keep the work safe, tidy and free of unpleasant surprises.

Jano – Independent Arborist

Hello, I’m Jano. Trees are both my passion and my responsibility. I have been working with trees for many years, and I have specialised in professional climbing-based pruning and rope-access tree removal since 2020. For every job, I focus on safety, quality workmanship and a careful approach to the surroundings. Whether it is an old spruce near a house or demanding work at height, I handle every tree in a way that keeps you satisfied and your property safe. If I find that a tree is in a condition where safe work cannot be guaranteed – for example, if it is completely rotten or hollow – I would rather decline the job than risk damage or injury.

Recently, I removed a dead spruce tree growing close to overhead power lines and a family house. I was working in hot weather – above 32 °C – but everything went exactly according to plan. First, I safely removed the top of the tree, then dismantled the rest of the trunk section by section. I double-checked every rigging point and made every cut with careful consideration. The tree came down cleanly, without any damage to the surrounding property, and the client was very satisfied with the result. That feeling of precise work and a satisfied property owner is what I find most rewarding about this profession.

Not every problematic tree needs to come down. For weakened or split crowns, I install Cobra dynamic bracing systems that help reduce the risk of large branches breaking.

When a tree stands above a roof, fence or garden, every movement matters. I remove the tree in sections, using secure positioning and rigging so that cut sections do not fall freely onto property or the surrounding area.

For pruning or removal at height, I choose the method according to the available space, the condition of the tree and the risks below the canopy. Precise positioning, safe cutting and control over where every section of the tree goes are essential.

Using a rigging system with a portawrap and Whoopie Sling (67 kN), I can control the lowering of heavier loads weighing up to 300–400 kg without risking damage to the surroundings.

Hazardous Branches Under Control

Not every branch can be allowed to fall freely to the ground. When working near buildings, fences or gardens, I use rope techniques that allow cut sections of the tree to be lowered safely and precisely.
